The KONSTRUK team includes Dr Jako Nice and a group of skilled creatives with years of experience. They are recognized postgraduate educators, national and provincial advisors and internationally published researchers. They share a passion for the great outdoors and recognize the GOD given value of each person.
Dr Nice
Dr. Jako Nice professional architect and researcher with 15 years experience. Dr Nice specialises in healthy buildings and healthcare infrastructure, architecture and engineering approaches to infection control for surface and airborne contagion in the built environment, and the microbiology of the built environment (MoBE). Furthermore, he is involved in Alternative building Technologies (ABT) implementation and sustainable buildings.
He has worked both in South Africa and internationally on a broad range of projects: residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare and religions buildings. He is an author of numerous norms and standards guidelines for healthcare infrastructure, peer reviewed publications and invited conference speaker. He is masters’ year student supervisor and holds a doctorate degree in architecture at the University of Pretoria on MoBE investigating building microbiomes and architecture through applied spatial analytics aimed at reducing healthcare-associated infections (HAI).
Dr Nice has a passion for people, not only their health, but improving their economic and social environment. He has served on various community boards and initiative, has a degree in theology and pastored churches, but also actively involved in improving the lifes of people serving a director in a NPO the 4th Musketeer.
